Verdant Health Commission grant aids expansion of Move 60! to 16 Edmonds District schools

Thanks to a grant from the Verdant Health Commission, the Move 60 program for students in grades 2-6 is expanding from eight to 16 Edmonds School District schools. Featuring activities such as a running club, team sports and jump rope stations, Move 60 is either before or after school, Monday through Thursday and is provided at no cost to families.

The elementary schools with continuing programs — including Cedar Valley, College Place, Hazelwood, Lynndale, Maplewood K-8, Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace, and Spruce — began Move 60 on Monday, Oct. 8. The elementary schools with new programs — including Cedar Way, Edmonds, Hilltop, Martha Lake, Oak Heights, Seaview, Sherwood, and Terrace Park — will begin Move 60 on Monday, Oct. 29.
