Work crews from the City of Mountlake Terrace replaced some damaged areas of the Ballinger Park Boat and Fishing Access dock this past week.

City work crews have completed some minor upgrades to the Ballinger Park Boat and Fishing Access, located at 23600 Lakeview Drive in Mountlake Terrace–just in time for hot weekend weather that is sure to attract more boaters, swimmers and visitors.

The improvements include some repairs to the fishing dock, installing new hand dryers in the public restrooms and adding a dumpster to consolidate garbage collection at the site.

In addition to the one placed at the Boat Launch Park, a dumpster was also added in the parking lot above Forest Crest Play Field, 5006 236thth St. SW.

“This provides more efficient cleanup efforts with fewer trash cans to empty as well as additional areas to put refuse,” Interim City Manager Scott Hugill said in his Weekly Update released on Friday.

The weather forecast calls for temperatures in Mountlake Terrace to be around 90 degrees this weekend.
