seahawksFinding a place in Mountlake Terrace to watch Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday afternoon will be easy; every restaurant or bar TV in town will be tuned to the Seahawk – Bronco matchup. But if you are looking for an unusual location to cheer on the Hawks, consider these two options: the Mountlake Terrace Community Senior Center and Cinebarre.

The Mountlake Terrace senior group is hosting a Super Bowl viewing party at their new home at Ballinger Park, 23000 Lakeview Dr. The party includes a pre-game tailgate party, a buffet with beverages, including beer and wine, a halftime costume “wear your colors” contest with prizes, and the big game on two TVs — a 60-inch screen in the Medial Lounge and a 32-inch screen in the Bistro. Admission is $15 per person; reservations are recommended at 425-672-2407.

Cinebarre Mountlake Terrace, 6009-244th St. S.W., will be showing Super Bowl XLVIII on one, and maybe two, of their giant movie screens. The 12th man can begin lining up for entry at 1:30 p.m.; doors will open at 2 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff. Cinebarre management will determine whether to open up a second theater for football viewing based on how many fans show up for the event. Admission is free to the 21 and older movie theater that will have their full menu and bar available to purchase from, including some food and drink specials.
