Twenty talented students from throughout the area will take the stage Thursday night at Mountlake Terrace High School to begin the eighth annual Terrace Idol singing competition. The event is slated to begin at 7 p.m.; admission is $5.
Students from Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, Edmonds-Woodway and Shorecrest high schools make up Thursday’s first round of competition, which will end with half of the competitors being eliminated.
Two of the three judges for the competition have been announced; they are Mackenzie Thoms, a 2012 American Idol competitor, and Frank Blosser, long-time music instructor in the Edmonds School District.
Terrace Idol will continue with round two on Thursday, Jan. 24. The finals are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 30.
The competition is a fundraiser for the MTHS Class of 2013.
