For the ninth time this season, the MTHS boys track team came out on top in a dual meet and finished the Wesco regular season undefeated on Thursday as they beat Glacier Peak 80-65 and Meadowdale 104-40 at Veterans’ Memorial Stadium in Snohomish.

The Terrace girls squad also had a strong showing on Thursday, going down to a big Glacier Peak team 89-60, but defeating Meadowdale 95.5-40.5.

Picking up first-place finishes for the Hawks were Duane Dahl in the 100 meters and the 300 meter hurdles, Joshua Kim in the 200 meters, Quinnell Mason in the 400 meters, Yohans Tewolde in the 800 meters, Jack Pearce in the 1600 meters, Brett Potter in the discus, Beau Kennedy in the javeline, Daniel An in the pole vault and Gifton Okoronkwo in the triple jump. The Terrace relay teams also grabbed victories in the 4×100 meters and the 4×400 meters.

Among the girls, McKenna Hunt won both the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles, Hailee Malins doubled up with first place finishes in the shot put and the discus, Chinne Okoronkwo placed first in the long jump and the triple jump, and Katherine Walter won the 3200 meters.
