Sound Community Bank Robbery Update

Here is a small update on the Sound Community Bank robbery in Mountlake Terrace on Friday. Mountlake Terrace Police say that the suspect did get away with money though the amount will not be released. They hope to get some photos from the bank today from the security cameras. Officer Doug Hansen did mention that the suspect was wearing a hoodie and sunglasses.

An MLTnews reader reported seeing a person changing clothes in their yard shortly after the robbery. The police department does not believe that this was the suspect, but a shoplifter that most likely freaked out with all of the police presence due to the bank robbery.

Just a reminder that if you see something suspicious call the police IMMEDIATELY. Officer Hansen said that there is a big difference betsween someone calling the police immediately when they see something and waiting 15 minutes to call. By the time 15 minutes has gone by, a suspect in a crime can be long gone.

  1. And this is the bank that charges about $3.25 for a transaction with your credit union debit card?

    1. Yeah, I was disappointed a while back when they left the credit union cooperative or whatever it is called. I bank at Verity Credit Union and used to be able to make deposits at Sound Community Bank but not any longer.

  2. I don’t understand… Why not look into the person changing clothes other than instantly ruling that person out? You rob a bank you surely would change your clothes right after… i just don’t understand it…. Plus Half of Mountlake Terrace wears Sunglasses and Hoodies… Does that make us all suspects?
