Fire-District-1-logoSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 883 calls June 2-14: 673 emergency medical aid calls, 63 motor vehicle collisions, 63 fires, 32 service calls, 3 natural gas leaks, 2 rescues and 46 automatic fire alarms.

June 3
SHED FIRE: At 12:30 a.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in a storage shed near 3rd Avenue Southeast and 128th Street Southeast south of Everett. No one was injured.

COLLISION: At 3:06 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 22200 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 4:08 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on Highway 99 near 40th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. A vehicle was overturned. Firefighters transported three patients to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 4:59 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 20 block of Meadow Place Southeast south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 8:47 p.m., a vehicle crashed into a ditch in the 14300 block of Cascadian Way south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Harborview Medical Center.

June 5
COLLISION: At 5:14 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at 4th Avenue West and 124th Street Southwest south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to an area hospital.

June 8
ARSON: At 1:26 a.m., firefighters extinguished a fire at Edmonds City Park. A flatbed truck, a dumpster and a storage building were damaged. No one was injured. Edmonds Police Department is investigating the fire as arson.

June 9
COLLISION: At 11:49 a.m., firefighters responded to a car that struck another vehicle, crashed into a light pole and rolled, coming to rest on its roof at the corner of 212th Street Southwest and 52nd Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle that rolled. Firefighters freed her from the wreckage and transported her to Harborview Medical Center. Firefighters also transported a second patient to Swedish Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION: At 3:50 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 108th Street Southwest and 4th Avenue West south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

HOUSE FIRE: At 6:25 p.m., firefighters responded to a house engulfed in flames in the 13900 block of 20th Place West north of Lynnwood. Two women were injured and were transported by firefighters to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Two cats died in the fire. The house was a total loss. Damage is estimated at $340,000.

June 13
COLLISION: At 2:56 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on southbound I-5 at the I-405 interchange. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

June 14
GREASE FIRE: At 10:10 a.m., a small grease fire was reported in the kitchen at the 13th Avenue Bar & Grill in the 1200 block of 164th Street Southwest northeast of Lynnwood. The fire was contained to the range hood. Damage was minimal and no one was injured.

COLLISION: At 4:20 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at Center Road and 4th Avenue West south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 9:28 p.m., a car struck a light post and came to rest on its side in a ditch on southbound on I-405 south of I-5. Firefighters used rescue tools to free the driver from the wreckage. The driver was transported by paramedic unit to Harborview Medical Center.
