The Seattle Barkery stopped by Mountlake Terrace Wednesday. The dog-treat food truck parked outside the Arbor Village Apartments on 56th Avenue West from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Seattle Barkery offers homemade, preservative-free dog treats, including items such as peanut butter and pumpkin pretzels, bacon cupcakes and fried chicken feet, among others. Two-legged customers can also enjoy treats like a cup of coffee or a soda.
Owner Ben Ford and his Pekingese named Sherman were on hand to provide local apartment dwellers a “yappy hour” as they took their dogs out for an evening walk.
Ford said though the truck spends most of its time in and around local dog parks, they may add more stops at apartment buildings in the future.
Wednesday was the second time The Seattle Barkery has stopped in front of the Arbor Village Apartments. Ford said the truck’s schedule is pretty full for the summer, but they may come back to the area in the fall.
In the meantime, The Seattle Barkery will continue making regular stops on Fridays at the nearby Off Leash Area Edmonds dog park. A full schedule of their stops can be found on The Seattle Barkery’s website.
