- 52nd Ave W Reconstruction Project
- 244th Repaving Project
- 223rd Street SW and 42nd Avenue West Sidewalk Project
This project includes repaving, some utility work and installation of new sidewalk ramps. 52nd Ave is closed this week during the work day for utility work at the intersection of 212th/52nd. See our recent post about the road closure and our past post with more details about the project.
The repaving has been completed and the new striping will be completed within the next month. See our recent post about the new bike lanes and left turn lane.
The City Council has awarded a contract for the 223rd Street SW and 42nd Avenue West Sidewalk Project to R.J. Lampers Construction Company, Inc. for approximately $64,000. Due to a competitive bidding environment, the bid was well below the engineer’s estimate. The project will provide approximately 580 feet of new sidewalks, including sidewalk ramps meeting ADA standards, on the south side of 223rd Street SW and on the west side of 42nd Place West between the traffic signal at 44th Avenue West and the walkway that connects to the Cedar Way Elementary School. These improvements will also eliminate a missing link in the sidewalk network and create continuous pedestrian access throughout the neighborhood.
