Red Onion Burgers, Snohomish County Fire District 1 and the Lynnwood Fire Department are joining forces Monday, Sept. 26 for an all-day Dining 4 Dollars event benefiting Operation Warm Coats for Kids. The goal is to raise funds to provide coats for kindergartners in the Edmonds School District.

Last school year, firefighters provided 66 coats to Mountlake Terrace Elementary students and are hoping to expand the program to include other schools in the district.

The event will be from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the restaurant, located at 21005 44th Ave. W. in Mountlake Terrace.

Red Onion burgers will donate 20 percent of sales and 100 percent of credit card and cash tips to the cause.

Other activities that day include a raffle, prize giveaways, entertainment and fire engine tours.
