The Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion will start their Holiday Schedule beginning December 20. Schedules will be available at the Pavilion or on line at www.mltrec.com. Extra Recreation Swims have been added from 1:15-2:45 p.m. Dec 20-23 and Dec 27-31. Special recreation swim times have been added Mondays through Thursdays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Sign up for holiday programs and classes listed below offered during the break.
Winter Break Camp for ages Kindergarten through 6th grade December 20-31. A variety of fun activities including foosball tournaments, swimming, crafts and more will be available. Program runs from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a maximum of 10 hours per day. Cost MLT residents $29/day; non-residents $32/day. This class will meet Monday through Thursday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. December 20-23 & 27 – 30. Learn lifesaving skills to help keep people safe in, on and around the water. This course also includes First Aid and CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Pre-requisites are: 15 years of age, Swim 300 yards non-stop using crawl stroke and breaststroke. Swim 20 yards, surface dive in deep water pick up a 10 lb. object and return with it to start and exit the pool in under 1 minute 40 seconds. Fees: MLT Residents: $185 Non Residents: $195 all books and supplies are included in the fees.
For Youth ages 11-15 this class will meet December 27-30 12-3:30 p.m. Learn important skills to be a better babysitter. Course includes CPR and First Aid. Fees: MLT Res: $75 Non Res: $85. Fees include books and supplies.
Swim Registration for January 2011
Registration for all swimming lessons will open up to Mountlake Terrace Residents on Monday, December 20 and open to everyone on Tuesday, December 21 for lessons starting January 7-11, 2011. Mountlake Terrace has swimming lessons offered 7 days per week. Weekend lessons meet Saturday and Sunday mornings, weekday lessons meet Monday/Wednesday; Tuesday/Thursday both in the mornings and in the afternoon evenings and Friday morning.
