In order to learn more about the food and nutritional practices of the community, the Edmonds School District’s Food Service Department applied for and received a $10,680 grant from Verdant Health Commission.
The Federal Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 requires comprehensive assessment, evaluation and development of strategies and programs that support healthy eating, nutrition activity and wellness programs. Parents, community members and district staff are encouraged to take the survey: http://bit.ly/edmondsfood.
Students will take a different optional survey administered at school. The survey link is open now through Oct. 24.
