Alex and Sean Nguyenle won four individual events between them and led Edmonds-Woodway’s boys swim squad to the team title at the Edmonds District Invitational Championships Saturday at the Lynnwood Pool. The Warriors easily outdistanced a field that included rivals Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood.
Senior Alex Nguyenle was victorious in the 100 yard butterfly and the 100 breaststroke; Sean took home the individual titles in the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle.
Other local winners in individual events were Kyle Barnett of Meadowdale in the 50 freestyle and Sam Armentrout of Mountlake Terrace in the 100 backstroke. Meadowdale won the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle felay, while Edmonds-Woodway finished first in the 400 freestyle felay.
