Prep girls basketball: Sehome takes down Mountlake Terrace, 53-30

The Sehome Mariners used a big offensive spurt in the second quarter and a strong defensive effort in the third to get past the Mountlake Terrace Hawks 53-30 Tuesday night in a non-league match-up played at Mountlake Terrace High School.

The Mariners outscored Terrace 20-8 in the second quarter, then held the Hawks to just two points in the third to earn the victory.

Nine Mariners contributed points in the win, led by the 14 points of 6-foot junior Sarah Eisess; junior Aynika Nuckles led the Hawks with 13 points in the loss.

Terrace returns to the court on Wednesday, Dec. 7, when they take on the Cascade Bruins in a 7:15 p.m. at Cascade High School.
