Prep girls basketball: Grizzlies maul Hawks

MTHSHawks-logo-200x2002The Mountlake Terrace Hawks girls basketball team dropped their 15th  straight game Friday night, losing to the Glacier Peak Grizzlies 68-22 at Mountlake Terrace High School.

Grizzlies sophomore Kayla Watkins led all scorers in the matchup with 16 points. Hawk Jorie Lambert paced the Hawks with six points.

The game marked the finish of  Mountlake Terrace’s toughest stretch of their schedule; the Hawks had to face Glacier Peak, Edmonds-Woodway and Lynnwood — teams with a combined record of 46-5 — over their past three games. Mountlake Terrace will close out the 2014-15 season with three games against teams with a combined record of 22-32, beginning with a Feb. 4 date at Shorecrest High School.
