Prep baseball: Hawks win 14-4 in five innings


MTHSHawks logo (1).jpgAfter putting 12 runs on the scoreboard on Tuesday, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks did one better – make that two better – on Wednesday against the visiting Shorecrest Scots.

In a game played at Mountlake Terrace High School, the Hawks steamrolled Shorecrest 14-4 in five innings in the second game of their three-game series this week.

Terrace pounded out 16 hits against Scot pitching on Wednesday; Nolan Takeya and Carson Dallas each had three hits for the Hawks. Takeya also picked up the pitching victory as the senior struck out five while giving up just five hits.

The series concludes on Friday when the two teams clash at Shorecrest High School. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
