Behind the solid pitching of senior Ben Reijonen and a balanced hitting attack, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks ran away from the visiting Kamiak Knights 7-1 Tuesday to win their opening game of the 2015 prep season.

Reijonen kept the Knights scoreless on just three hits over five innings to pick up the victory for the Hawks.

Drew Serres led Terrace at the plate with three hits, including a triple that the junior was able to score on via a Kamiak throwing error. Nolan Takeya went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s to help the Hawks to victory.

Terrace won’t have any time to savor the win as they will travel to Snohomish on Wednesday to face the Panthers in a 4 p.m. non-conference matchup.
