Police Chief Greg Wilson is scheduled to present the 2013 Year End City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department Report to the City Council at its Tuesday, Feb. 18 meeting. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Interim City Hall Council Chambers, 6100 219th St. S.W., Suite 220.
The City Council is also expected to approve two employment contracts at the meeting: a new collective bargaining agreement with the Mountlake Terrace Police Guild and an employment agreement with the soon-to-be City Manager Arlene Fisher. No details to the new contracts were released.
Wilson is expected to deliver a 2013 report that contents that a visible police presence in the community, combined with proactive enforcement, is a vital tool in the suppression of criminal activity.
Chief Wilson will also expected to report on the Department’s Code Enforcement, Electronic Home Monitoring and Animal Control programs, contending that these programs contribute to the overall appearance and image of the city, and are an important component for future commercial and residential redevelopment and revitalization.
