As part of the Lakeview Trail project, a new traffic signal has been installed at 236th Street Southwest and 65th Place West. This signal is scheduled to be turned on and become fully functional on Monday, Nov, 9 at about 10 a.m.

The timing for this signal includes an exclusive pedestrian phase. When the signal is on for pedestrians to cross at one of the crosswalks, the pedestrian signal will be on for all three of the crosswalks. If pedestrians/bicyclists do not press the button for a walk signal, the pedestrian phase will be skipped.

This signal has been set up this way due to the large volume of vehicles that travel southbound on 65th Place W. and then turn left onto 236th Street Southwest. These left turns create a conflict with trail users who are crossing 236th Street Southwest at this intersection.
