Splitting off from their parent company in Shoreline, new company Emerald City Engineers has found a home in Mountlake Terrace.

Robison Engineering announced in April that they would branch off their Hospitality and Multi-Family Division and form Emerald City Engineers, a full-service mechanical, electrical and plumbing design firm specializing in hotels and multi-unit residential facilities. The new company would be headed up by John Toman and Adam French.

“John and Adam have been running the hospitality division independently for the past few years, so it seemed like a natural progression for them to continue on as an independent company,” said Mark Robison, President, Robison Engineering. “I trust they will continue to take good care of all our friends in the business and wish them great success!”

Emerald City Engineers, 6506 216th Street SW 002“This transition has been in the works for some time, and we are excited and confident of the road ahead,” said Toman, President of Emerald City Engineers.

As a new company, Emerald City Engineers will focus on design and consulting services for hospitality, multi-family and senior housing. Robison Engineering will continue to do restaurant, fast food, bank, retail general (tenant improvement) design, and remodel work.

“Our mission is to provide high-quality professional engineering services while delivering a product that meets the expectation, schedules, and cost objectives of our clients.”  said French, Vice-President of Emerald City Engineers. “Our approach is to reinforce collaboration among trades, bring a positive team-oriented attitude, and most importantly, achieve the goals of our clients.”

Toman holds a professional engineering (P.E.) license and will head the mechanical engineering department. As a licensed mechanical engineer with 13 years of experience in hotel and multi-unit residential design, he has extensive experience with hospitality, restaurant, retail, and multi-family residential HVAC, and plumbing design.

French holds a P.E. license and will head the electrical engineering department. He is a licensed electrical engineer with over 7 years of experience in hotel and multi-unit residential design and has extensive experience with hospitality, restaurant, retail, lighting, and multi-family residential electrical design.

Emerald City Engineers has been in their new Mountlake Terrace offices at 6505-216th St. S.W. since early May.
