MTHS left out of final three for Essentially Ellington jazz competition

Mountlake Terrace High School’s jazz band did not make it into the final three bands competing for first place in the Essentially Ellington competition.

The judges announced at 1:15 p.m. Pacific time Sunday that the following three bands would advance to a final performance Sunday night: the Dillard Center for the Arts, New World School of the Arts and Seattle-based Roosevelt High School.

Congratulations to all the Terrace musicians for being one of 16 bands chosen to attend the competition and for their fine performance Sunday.
