Tickets are still available for Monday night’s Everett AquaSox baseball game, though they are going fast.
Everett plays Spokane at 7:05 p.m, Aug. 11. Tickets are $11 and for each ticket sold the Senior Center receives $4. People are encouraged to car pool as there will be limited van space.
As an added attraction, Senior Center Director Mike Cooper will be throwing out the first pitch. See if he can throw the pitch over the plate.
Preparations also are underway for the Senior Center’s Summer Sunset Luau fundraiser on Aug. 16.
The Center still needs a few new items for the raffles and silent auction. If you don’t have time to build a basket, a cash donation would be helpful. The Center has people to purchase items and assemble baskets. If you have time to approach a business owner you know this would be a big help. These items are tax deductable.
The Summer Sunset Luau will be from 5-9 pm
There will be live music including Hawaiian music and dance. Come for raffles, a silent auction and a cash beverage bar that includes beer and wine. Tickets are $30/person $200 for a table of 8. Don’t wait as this event sells out at 150 people. This event is held in the Lakeview Room and on the deck.
The Luau menu features:
- Shrimp/Pineapple Kabob
- Maui Onion Dip w/chips
- Aloha BBQ Chicken Wings
- Island Greens
- Mango/Avocado Salad
- Kuala slow cooked pork
- Pineapple baked tropical fish
- Island Fried Rice
- Steamed veggies
- Chef’s Special
