A burglary was reported in the 23200 block of 55th Avenue West. A man and woman said their house had been broken into during the day. They believe their former foster daughter was involved because very specific items were taken, including two firearms hidden beneath the bed. They also believed their two dogs, including a 90-pound Rottweiler mix, would have scared away any would-be burglars, but they would have been friendly to the suspect. Approximately $6,050 worth of items were stolen from the house. Fingerprints were lifted and submitted into evidence.

June 15
A mountain bike was left by the rear gate to the Police Department. The owner is unknown and there are no identifiable marks. It was entered into property.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 5900 block of 236th Street Southwest. A resident said she had exited the shower and entered her bedroom when she saw a man in her window. He had pushed in a cardboard spacer between her air conditioner and the window. They stared at each other for a moment before he took off. She had retreated to get clothing, so she did not see which way he went. A K-9 track was attempted by an Edmonds K-9 unit, but unsuccessful.

June 16
A woman was seen breaking a sliding glass door to a home that she did not belong in in the 4200 block of 214th Street Southwest. The woman was contacted and said her girlfriend allowed her to be in the apartment. Her girlfriend had been evicted, however. Methamphetamine was found in her pocket. She was taken to Snohomish County Jail without incident.

June 17
A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 4000 block of 212th Street Southwest.

A man came to the station to report his neighbor made threats to him the night before. The neighbor had reportedly brought a shovel with a dead rat on it, then the neighbor said her dog killed the rat but the rat came from the reporting party’s property. The neighbor accused them of being filthy and having a rodent problem, then said she “didn’t know what she might do” if one of her dogs got sick from eating rats. The reporting party said he had construction material on his property, but no sign of rats. A code enforcement officer went to their house and said their yard meets city code.

A woman reported her windshield was damaged the night before while parked in her driveway. A break in the windshield was spotted, which could have been caused by a BB or a small rock. No suspect information available.

June 18
A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 22100 block of 66th Avenue West.

A pet stroller was stolen from the rear porch of a residence.

Two kayaks were taken from the backyard of a residence.

A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 24200 block of 58th Avenue West.

A man refused to leave a casino in the 22000 block of 66th Avenue West. An officer responded to escort him outside. The suspect refused to cooperate and asked to talk to casino staff. He refused to follow orders given by officers. He had bloodshot, watery eyes. An officer grabbed his arm to get him to go outside, but he refused and attempted to pull away toward casino staff to continue yelling at them. The officer then “escorted him to the ground.” He was lying on his back and refused to roll over when instructed. Two officers and a sergeant had to force him over. He was then placed in handcuffs. He was asked if he was injured and he did not respond. He was disorderly in the back of the police car. He was taken to a local hospital for jail evaluation. He constantly yelled racial slurs during the evaluation. Then he was transported to Snohomish County Jail for booking. He was also uncooperative with corrections officers and ultimately was sprayed with pepper spray by corrections officers as a result of “non-compliant behavior.”

Two vehicles collided on 236th Street Southwest when one vehicle made a U-turn and didn’t see the other.

June 19
A stolen vehicle was found in the 5800 block of 236th Street Southwest. The registered owner was contacted and said she would retrieve it.

A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 21800 block of 51st Avenue West.

A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 21400 block of 52nd Avenue West.

June 20
A vehicle prowl was reported in the 7100 block of 220th Street Southwest. Several hundred dollars worth of power tools were taken.

A wallet was found in the 22800 block of 44th Avenue West. An ID was inside the wallet, and the owner was contacted to retrieve the wallet.

A theft was reported in the 4300 block of 212th Street Southwest. Approximately $150 worth of alcohol was stolen from a store. The suspect was recorded on surveillance video, but not identified or located.

June 21
A trespass was reported in the 7000 block of 220th Street Southwest.

A handgun was reported stolen from the center console of a truck parked in Mountlake Terrace. The gun had a full magazine inside. An extra magazine was left behind in the truck.

A disturbance was reported in the 22000 block of 66th Avenue West. A verbal altercation occurred between two men at a casino. They exited, then one of the men slapped the other man across the face approximately five times, according to an employee. The suspect was issued a criminal citation.

June 23
A reckless driver was spotted on 236th Street Southwest approaching Cedar Way. A check of the registered owner’s license showed it was suspended. The driver was arrested and booked into Lynnwood Jail.
