An employee in the 24100 block of 56th Avenue West reported someone scratched letters into three of the front windows of the business she works for. The letters were “MTC.” Each letter was carved into a separate window. All three windows will need to be replaced.

An assault was reported in the 23000 block of 52nd Avenue West. A man said he paid for an Uber to bring his friend over to his residence to hang out. They then got into a verbal argument and the friend scratched him on the face. The friend then took the victim’s phone and left. The suspect denied all charges. A criminal citation has been issued.

A burglary was reported in the 5300 block of 242nd Street Southwest. The resident’s things had been rifled through and a few items were missing, including two laptops, an iHome radio, a Camelbak and two pieces of luggage.

July 9
Two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Cedar Way and 236th Street Southwest after one of the vehicles failed to stop at a red light.

A vehicle stolen from Tukwila was found in the 4300 block of 212th Street Southwest.

July 11
A vehicle was reported stolen from the 6100 block of St. Albion Way.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 23300 block of Lakeview Drive.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 23500 block of Lakeview Drive.

July 12
A theft was reported in the 5400 block of 236th Street Southwest. A woman said she was mowing her yard when a man ran into her yard and stole her weed eater. The suspect ran off on foot holding the weed eater. He was not located.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 23000 block of 64th Avenue West.

A phone was reported stolen from the 4300 block of 212th Street Southwest.

A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 4000 block of 212th Street Southwest.

July 13
A vehicle failed to yield to a moped near the 7300 block of 228th Street Southwest. The moped driver had to apply the emergency break to avoid a collision. He then fell off his moped and injured his elbow and knee.

An incident of defaced property was reported in the 23900 block of 56th Avenue West. The letters “MTO” were scratched into the windows of a business there.

A credit card was reported stolen from the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Center. A fraudulent $400 was made to the credit card.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 6400 block of 230th Street Southwest. Some vehicle documents were taken.

July 14
A malicious mischief complaint was filed at Mountlake Terrace Elementary School. A window was broken on classroom 17. No suspects or leads at this time.

A woman called to report a possible problem with a minor in her neighborhood, located in the 22100 block of 66th Avenue West. The woman came home to find urine on her front door. She suspects one of her neighbors. The report was taken for informational purposes only.

A group of teenagers who did not belong at a community pool in the 5400 block of 212th Street Southwest were trespassed from the pool. No criminal charges were filed.

A vehicle rear ended a second vehicle near the intersection of 228th Street Southwest and 39th Avenue West.

July 15
A second malicious mischief complaint was filed. A broken window was found at Mountlake Terrace Elementary School’s classroom 8. No rocks were found nearby, so it must have been broken with another object. There are no suspects or leads at this time.
