Mountlake Terrace police blotter: April 8-15

Stolen property was reported in the 5000 block of 221st Street Southwest. A woman said her neighbor had a stolen generator on their property. The generator had numbers on the side of it to identify it with a rental company’s name on it. The rental company said that number was in their inventory and had been stolen from a job site. No one on the property knew about the generator and said they had not been home for a few weeks. The generator was returned. It could not be determined who took the generator, so no one was charged.

A verbal dispute was reported in the 5100 block of 242nd Street Southwest.

A physical domestic dispute was reported in the 23600 block of 56th Avenue West.

April 10
A dog bite was reported in the 22600 block of 57th Avenue West. A man said he stopped to talk to a woman in her front yard. He laid down on the yard while talking to her and a small dog got loose from a child. The dog bit him on the arm. The bite broke the skin. The victim said he was fine and didn’t want to pursue anything. The woman said the dog is not hers but she is watching it for a friend. Officers explained the dog would need to be quarantined and animal control would contact her with more details.

April 11
A home burglary was reported. A radio was stolen.

A disturbance was reported in the 4200 block of 236th Street Southwest between a man and his ex-girlfriend.

A court order violation was reported in the 22300 block of 51st Avenue West. A man has a court order preventing him from being at his father’s house, but he was outside. He was arrested and transported to Lynnwood Jail.

Mailboxes were damaged in the 4600 block of 220th Street Southwest. It is not known if any mail was taken.

A vehicle was spray painted in the 4700 block of 216th Street Southwest. The vehicle was also dented on the front left fender. No suspects or leads at this time.

April 12
A verbal domestic complaint was reported in the 24000 block of 49th Place West between a mother, father and son. The mother said her son took her phone, removed the SIM card and burned it. He told her he destroyed the SIM card to keep her from making calls. His parents both want to pursue charges for the damage. The son was arrested.

A vehicle was pulled over for an expired registration. However, the passenger, who was not wearing her safety belt, had two outstanding warrants out of Lynnwood. She was arrested and transported to Lynnwood jail. The driver was also issued an infraction for an expired registration.

April 13
A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 22800 block of Lakeview Drive. All parties were provided domestic violence brochures.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 22000 block of 66th Avenue West. Officers were able to obtain surveillance video of the theft, which happened just after midnight.

April 14
A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 4200 block of 212th Street Southwest.

April 15
A home burglary was reported. The victim said he believed the home was broken into after 8 p.m. the night before, which is when he locked the house and left for the night. The lower vent along one of the walls had been broken out, which the victim believes was the entry point. Several power tools were taken.
