The following are selected incidents from the Mountlake Terrace Police blotter.

Aug. 3

21200 block of 58th Ave. W. A woman’s rental application was stolen from her vehicle. She reported the incident out of fear of potential identity theft.

21900 block of 66th Ave. W. A woman was arrested for felony violation of a no contact order. She made contact with a man and then contacted him again behind a pub.

Mountlake Terrace Police assisted Brier Police dispatched to a disturbance call. Officers stopped a man who was found with a fixed blade and a capable knife. He was brought into custody.
Aug. 4
21000 block of Interurban Trail. Police responded to reports of a man calling for help in the woods by the Interurban Trail. Officers found the man reportedly experiencing heroin withdrawal. He told police he had been robbed, but could not provide identification on the suspect. The man was released after medics said they couldn’t do anything further for heroin withdrawals.

21000 block of 66th Ave. W. A Honda Accord was reported stolen.

21900 block of 56th Ave. W. A man reported a theft from vehicle. He reported that his backpack had been stolen.

Aug. 5

21200 block of 61st Ave. W. A car collided weigh a pedestrian on a pericycle.The pericycle was traveling in the bike lane.

23000 block of 56th Ave. W. A Subaru Legend was reported stolen.

Aug. 6

23000 block of Lakeview Dr. A woman reported a theft from her auto. She told police someone had stolen several items from her car, including a Tom Tom GPS, a Brookstone Wireless Speaker and two flashlights.

Aug. 7

244th St. SW. and Interstate 5. After running a computer check on a Nissan Stanza, Mountlake Terrace Police saw the car had been reported stolen from Seattle. A Mountlake Terace officer followed the car without flashing the emergency lights, while he waited for backup. The suspect got on to I-5 at 244th St. SW, when the MTPD officer was joined by Washington State Patrol. Police activated their emergency lights and the car pulled over and exited on the lane at NE 115th St. Then the suspect accelerated rapidly, speeding off at 100 mph. According to police reports, the suspect was either a dark skinned white male or a Hispanic male. He was wearing a black hat and had brown hair.

6300 block of 234th St. SW. A Toyota Matrix was stolen..

2100 block of 56th Ave. W. A barbecue was reported stolen.

Aug. 8

Edmonds School District reported damage to the turf field at Mountlake Terrace High School. A flare gun was fired from the field, damaging the turf. Surveillance cameras at MTHS did not have a view of the field.

  1. What was happening at Lake Ballinger last week? (By the boat ramp) – there were about 8 diff emergency vehicles there.

    1. Hi Kim — I’m not sure if this was last week but I do know that there was a person recently in respiratory distress at the park, and that drew a lot of emergency vehicles.
