The Mountlake Terrace 5K Fun Run/Walk raised $7,803.54 for public Mountlake Terrace elementary schools.

When registering for the event, participants can choose which school they would like to benefit. The Cedar Way P.T.O. organizes the event, so Cedar Way will get most of the proceeds, but several participants raced for Mountlake Terrace and Terrace Park elementary schools.

Cedar Way’s P.T.O. will use the money to fund field trips, purchase supplies for the library, art, music and P.E. programs and to pay for school events.

“We appreciate everyone who supported our event and look forward to seeing everyone at the 2017 Mountlake Terrace 5K Fun Run/Walk,” race organizer Jennifer Woodman said.
