Looking for something fun for kids this Halloween while staying close to home? The third annual Mountlake Terrace Trunk r Treat will be Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. on the corner of 56th Avenue West and 232nd Street Southwest across the street from Red Onion Burgers. The event will happen rain or shine.

Local businesses and neighbors are teaming up to bring their decorated car trunks filled with candy to offer a Safe Zone for our little hoodlums to trick or treat. This year, there will be a drawing for the kids to win some cool prizes.

The event is sponsored by Red Onion Burgers, Espresso Break and Creekside Church, but they are hoping for more volunteers to provide trunks and candy. Anyone interested should email Seaun Richards at eat@redonionburgers.com.
