The suspect also has a Department of Corrections warrant for parole violations, said Mountlake Terrace Deputy Chief Pete Caw.

A homeowner called 911 around 12:25 a.m. Aug. 31 to report he had shot a man dressed in black who entered his home in the 22100 block of 60th Avenue West. Officers found the man laying in the street in front of the residence. The subject was unresponsive and had a single gunshot wound to his upper torso, police said. Officers began CPR and were able to get a pulse before medics arrived. The subject was taken to Harborview Hospital in Seattle in critical condition.

All individuals involved in the incident knew each other, including a 19-year-old female who was reportedly in the company of the burglary suspect but fled the scene. She was later taken into police custody.
