MTHS logo 2After dropping the first two matches of the season, the Mountlake Terrace High School volleyball team has rattled off five victories in a row, their latest being a three-game sweep of the Marysville Pilchuck Tomahawks Wednesday night, 25-13, 25-10, 25-21, at home.

The Hawks (2-0 in Wesco, 5-2 overall) dominated most of the match, trailing just once, 1-0 in the third game; Terrace scored the next six points to pull ahead, but then needed to fight off a persistent Tomahawk squad that had climbed back to tie the game at 20-20. The Hawks finally put Marysville Pilchuck (0-2, 1-6) away as they scored five of the game’s six final points and secured the victory.
