The Mountlake Terrace Hawks softball team strung together RBI hits by Maddy Kristjanson, Hannah Wilcox and Sammy Harter, scoring five runs in the second inning of their matchup with Marysville Pilchuck on Friday. The one big inning was enough for Terrace to put away the Tomahawks 5-2 and extend their winning streak to five games.

Senior Rene Bos pitched a complete game for the Hawks, giving up just two runs and striking out ten.

With the victory, Terrace goes to 6-3 in Wesco league play, 10-6 overall; Marysville Pilchuck falls to 5-4 in the league, 8-8 overall. The Hawks head to Meadowdale on Tuesday, April 30, for a match-up with the firs- place Mavericks (9-0, 13-2). Terrace will be looking to avenge a 1-0 lost to Meadowdale suffered on March 29 at Mountlake Terrace High School.
