Last year, Mountlake Terrace High School cross country runners Jack Pearce and Ella Schroth earned spots as individuals at the WIAA State Cross Country Meet; this year Pearce and Schroth are returning to the state meet, but this time they are bringing some friends.
Both the Mountlake Terrace High School boys and girls cross country squads qualified for the state meet by finishing second in their team competitions at districts on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Lakewood. The boys team finished second behind district champions Shorewood, with Glacier Peak placing third and grabbing the final team spot for the state meet. The Terrace girls finished second behind defending state champion Glacier Peak; Oak Harbor nabbed third place and also qualified for the state meet.
