Surveillance video shows the woman at an Albertson’s in Mountlake Terrace minutes before the possible kidnapping incident.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said a woman believed to be the victim of a possible kidnapping last month in Lynnwood was arrested Saturday on several outstanding warrants.

After she was taken into custody, the woman confirmed she was the woman in the surveillance photo taken at an Albertson’s in Mountlake Terrace less than 20 minutes before the incident near the intersection of Larch Way and Poplar Way in Lynnwood on March 14. She also said she was not the victim of kidnapping, but the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is still continuing an investigation to make sure she was not a victim of kidnapping or any other crime.

Spokeswoman Shari Ireton said the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing her name or what the warrants were for because the woman is still considered a victim of a crime as the incident remains under investigation.

The investigation began on March 14 when two witnesses called 9-1-1 at 5:49 p.m. on March 14. They both said they saw a blonde woman walking along Larch Way when a blue Ford Explorer stopped alongside her. Both witnesses said the driver jumped out of the SUV, grabbed the woman and shoved her inside through a door on the driver’s side.

The vehicle eventually sped off southbound on 28th Avenue West.

Investigators had determined that less than 20 minutes before the incident was reported to police, the possible victim was at the Albertson’s in Mountlake Terrace, located at 4301 212th St. SW. They got a photo of her off of the grocery store’s surveillance system. The woman was later identified by investigators.

The Albertson’s is about a half mile away from the intersection of Larch Way and Poplar Way.
