At around 11 p.m., Sunday, July 19, the two suspects backed up the white van to a business at the 2900 block of 164th St. SW. in Lynnwood. They walked up to the ATM, cut the cables, and loaded the machine into the van. As the suspects were driving out of the parking lot, it is believed that they drove too fast over a speed bump, causing the ATM to fall out. The suspects drove away.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., Monday, July 20, patrol deputies received a call about an unoccupied white van that was left idling near the intersection of 164th St. SW. and Maple Rd. It is believed to be the same vehicle used in the theft the previous night and was confirmed to have been reported stolen out of Kent. The van was impounded for evidence processing.
No additional details about either suspect are available at this time. This incident remains under investigation and anyone who believes they may have information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office Anonymous Tip at: http://snohomishcountywa.gov/303/Anonymous-Tips or 425-388-3845.
