Snohomish County residents interested in proving feedback about how federal funding will benefit housing and community development needs in the next five years are invited to attend a public hearing.

A South County meeting will be from 1:30-3 p.m., Thursday, Nov 20 at the Whispering Pines Apartments Community Building, 18201 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood.

Local governments will develop plans for 2015-19 to use federal funding received through various U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development programs. The programs provide funding that benefit low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods in a diverse range of areas, including sidewalks, senior centers, housing for those with special needs, food banks, accessibility improvements, rental housing, and vouchers.

Snohomish County on behalf of the Snohomish County Urban County Consortium is cosponsoring the hearings with the City of Everett, the Everett Housing Authority, the City of Marysville and the Housing Authority of Snohomish County.

Written comments may be sent by Nov. 21st to sue.tracy@snoco.org or Snohomish County Human Services Department, M/S 305, 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett, WA 98201. Map of 18201 52nd Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98037
