Updated at 4:30 p.m. Thursday with Friday road repair information.
Construction crews working on 64th Avenue West near 196th Street Southwest nicked a water line Thursday morning, causing flooding on the roads and a closure for several hours.
Lynnwood utility crews responded and have fixed the water line. No customers lost water, but if anyone in the area is experiencing brown water, city spokeswoman Julie Moore said it is sediment and customers can just run the water until it is clear.
The right turn lane on 64th Avenue West will remain closed, but the rest of the intersection has opened.
The City of Lynnwood said Thursday afternoon that 64th Avenue West between 196th Street Southwest to the 19800 block will remained closed until 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 29. Local and emergency access is available.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Lynnwood crews will remove the damaged pavement and begin repair work. During this time one lane of southbound traffic on 64th Avenue West will be open to accommodate business access. Please make plans to avoid 64th Avenue West at this location if possible.
