Starting Aug. 15, McDonald McGarry Insurance in Edmonds is hosting a donation drive for Treehouse for Kids as they get ready to help foster kids in Western Washington head back to their classrooms.
For foster kids, each year can bring a new school and new friends, and those school supplies and back to school outfits make a big impact. McDonald McGarry is asking for donations of school supplies, new clothing and backpacks. Monetary donations are also welcome.
Specifically, Treehouse for Kids is requesting:
- Durable backpacks
- Jeans and pants
- Long- and short-sleeved shirts
- Hooded sweatshirts
- School supplies
McDonald McGarry Insurance, located at 630 Main St., will begin taking donations for Treehouse for Kids on Monday, Aug. 15, and the donation drive will run through Friday, Sept. 2. Hours are from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays.
