Best Western, located at 19332 36th Ave. W, had to be evacuated after a fire broke out in a wall on the fourth floor. Fire crews from the Lynnwood Fire Department and Fire District 1 responded.
Lynnwood fire spokeswoman Julie Moore said a plumber was working in a unit when the fire started in the wall in the bathroom. Two rooms were damaged. It is unclear if any personal property of any hotel occupants was damaged.
About 50 people were evacuated from the hotel after the fire. The first, second and third floors were reoccupied less than an hour later. No one was injured.
Fire investigators are working to determine exactly what happened to start the fire and how much damage was caused.
