The Lake Forest Park Police Department shared this map on its Facebook page showing the closure.

Update at 6:30 p.m.: The road has re-opened.

Mountlake Terrace drivers heading through Lake Forest Park on Wednesday morning were stopped by crews cleaning up a crash. A section of 40th Place Northeast in Lake Forest Park closed on Wednesday morning after a car crashed into a power pole.

The Lake Forest Park Police Department said on its Facebook page that the power pole is “severely damaged,” so the 40th Place Northeast will need to remain completely closed between Northeast 186th Street and 45th Place Northeast until it is cleaned up. Power was also out in the area for a few hours while Seattle City Light crews replaced the power pole.

The road was closed from before 10 a.m. until after 5 p.m. Power was fully restored at that time.
