Although outhit 6-4, the Glacier Peak Grizzlies converted their offensive effort into runs and scored a 3-1 victory over the Mountlake Terrace Hawks softball team on Monday.

Hawk pitcher Rene Bos had a strong outing, striking out eight, but didn’t get enough run support from her teammates and absorbed the loss. Hannah Baisch picked up the only extra base hit by Terrace; Maddy Kristjanson drove in the only Hawk run.

The loss dropped the Hawk record to 0-2 in Wesco league play, 4-5 overall. Terrace will face the Shorewood T-Birds at Meridian Park in Shoreline at 6 p.m.
