Throughout the holiday season, MLT News will be highlighting charitable organizations or activities that we hope our readers will consider funding as a way of “giving back” to our community.
Tickets are going fast, but it’s not too late to join the Foundation for Edmonds School District this Saturday night, Dec. 6 for the North Sound Church’s holiday benefit concerts, featuring the Mosaic Choir & Orchestra. The 4 p.m. show is sold out, but there are still a few tickets available for the 7 p.m. show. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation and make a monetary gift. All proceeds will directly benefit our Nourishing Network program, which helps feed homeless children and low-income families in the Edmonds School District.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 6
Times: 4 p.m. (sold out) and 7 p.m.
Location: Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA), 410 Fourth Ave N., in downtown Edmonds
Cost: Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased at the box office or at ECA’s website.
Two generous donors will match your donations. An anonymous, individual donor will match up to $20,000 of funds raised, while Campbell Nelson VW/Nissan will match an additional 10 percent of proceeds at each show, up to $50,000.
If you are unable to attend the concerts, but want to donate in support of the Nourishing Network, you may donate online at www.foundationesd.org or mail a check to the Foundation for Edmonds School District, P. O. Box 390, Lynnwood WA 98046. Please indicate the donation is for the “Holiday Benefit Concert.”
