Gas main break closes 244th
At 9 am this morning a PSE subcontractor hit and ruptured a 4” Gas Main. 244 th is closed just east of 56th Ave W. Police and Fire are on the scene. People are being evacuated from homes in the area. There were no injuries reported.

UPDATE 11:30am:
Police and Fire are on the scene. People were evacuated from about four homes in the area. There were no injuries reported. Shoreline Fire Department is taking the lead. Seattle City Light will be turning off power in the area. Air quality is being monitored.
