Almost $2,000 has been raised through the sales of T-shirts remembering 2011 MTHS graduate Forest Jackson, who was slain March 29 in Mountlake Terrace.
After setting a goal of selling 50 shirts, sales organizer and former Jackson co-worker Laura Reed has seen 125 shirts sold as of April 15; sales of the shirts will end on Friday, April 18.
“It has been amazing to see Forest’s friends and family contributing,” Reed said. Proceeds from the sales will go to Forest’s mother, Cathy Jackson.
Jackson was found in an apartment on St. Albion Place after being stabbed in the neck in the early morning hours of March 29. Toby Jamyson Sauceda, 20, was arrested soon after the incident, charged with second-degree murder, and is in the Snohomish County Jail awaiting trial.
