Fire crews got to work Wednesday night after a three-alarm commercial fire in the 19800 block of Scriber Lake Road.
Flames completely enveloped the building, which is a senior living apartment complex that was under construction. It is thought to have been vacant at the time of the fire, which was reported around 9:30 p.m. Crews were attempting to put out the fire while also protecting surrounding buildings.
Two firefighters were injured while fighting the fire. They were both taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Approximately 150 people from nearby apartment buildings were evacuated. Lynnwood Police are asking everyone to stay clear of the area until the fire is out. Crews are expected to be on scene overnight.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The fire marshal will investigate once the fire is out. Flames were still visible at the scene around midnight.
Fire crews from Mukilteo, Everett and Seattle, among others, assisted with controlling the fire.
