Fire District 1Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 335 calls the week of Oct. 17-23: 267 emergency medical aid calls, 33 motor vehicle collisions, 13 fires, 10 service calls and 12 automatic fire alarms.

October 17
FIRE: At 11:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at a four-plex in the 20400 block of 28th Avenue W east of Lynnwood. Paramedics transported one injured man to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. The fire displaced 14 residents and the damage to the building is estimated at $260,000. Investigators determined the fire started in the basement garage when fumes from a gasoline tank were accidentally ignited.

October 19
COLLISION: At 10:05 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on northbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
COLLISION: At 11:09 p.m., a car struck a pole in the 214th Street SW and 44th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. One person was seriously injured and was transported by paramedics to Harborview Medical Center. The impact damaged the power pole and knocked down high-voltage lines. Firefighters stood by until PUD arrived.

October 20
COLLISION AND FIRE: At 2:09 a.m., a one-car rollover collision was reported on northbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW. Firefighters arrived to find the car on its top and on fire in the median. The driver and the passenger were injured and lying on the ground nearby. Firefighters extinguished the fire and transported one patient to Harborview Medical Center and one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

October 22
COLLISION: At 3:04 a.m., a car crashed head-on into a pole in the 24100 block of Firdale Avenue in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the injured driver to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION: At 1:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car, T-bone collision in the 5800 block of 134th Place SE southeast of Everett. Two patients were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

October 23
COLLISION: At 8:28 a.m., a two-car collision was reported on the ramp from Alderwood Mall Parkway to SR-525 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 3:32 p.m., a two-car T-bone collision was reported at 148th Street SW and Admiralty Way north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 4:14 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision on the ramp from eastbound 164th St SW to southbound I-5 and transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 6:46 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on northbound I-5 south of 128th Street SW. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
