Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 436 calls April 28 – May 4: 361 emergency medical aid calls, 19 motor vehicle collisions, 19 fires, 12 service calls, 6 gas leaks, 1 rescue and 18 automatic fire alarms.
COLLISION: At 5:56 a.m., a car struck a pedestrian in the 13000 block of 8th Avenue W south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to an area hospital.
COLLISION: At 7:10 a.m., a car crashed into some trees on 236th Street SW between 48th Avenue W and Cedar Way in Mountlake Terrace. One person was injured and transported by firefighters to an area hospital.
COLLISION: At 10:46 a.m., firefighters responded to a three-car collision at 112th Street SW and 4th Avenue W south of Everett. Two people were injured and taken to area hospitals.
COLLISION: At 5:28 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on southbound I-5 south of Everett. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to an area hospital.
COLLISION: At 11:21 p.m., two pedestrians were stuck by a car at Admiralty Way and Manor Way south of Everett. Both pedestrians were injured and were transported by firefighters to an area hospital.
Fire District 1 is the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County, with full-time staffing at 12 fire stations. The department serves nearly 200,000 residents in unincorporated south Snohomish County, Brier, Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace.
