It’s sure to be an egg-citing weekend in Mountlake Terrace and Brier as the area will be hosting four egg hunts for children, families and adults on Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19.

The Easter weekend activities begin on Friday with the third annual “Adult” Flashlight Eggstravaganza at Evergreen Playfield, 22205-56th Ave. W. The event, for “grownups over 18,” is a benefit for the CheeseBurger Babies Foundation, and will feature a live DJ, games, prizes, snacks and beverages available for purchase, and a hunt for 4,000 eggs after darkness falls. The fun begins at 7:30 p.m.; tickets are $7 in advance, $10 on the day of the event.

On Saturday, kids will have the chance to enter the fray at three different hunts; all are free. The Mountlake Terrace Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Playfield, with 7,000 Easter eggs, prizes, games and the Easter Bunny; the egg hunt will be for kids up through age 11.

Thousands of eggs stuffed with candy and prizes will be awaiting children ages 3-10 at Brier Park, 2689-228th St. S.W., on Saturday. Staggered starts for different age groups will start at 10 a.m. Hunt organizers are encouraging attendees to bring a donation of non-perishable food for the Concern for Neighbors Food Bank.

The Nile Shriners will conduct their annual egg hunt at the Nile Golf Course, 6601-244th St. S.W., on Saturday at 11 a.m. The event features hunts for three age groups of kids and an appearance by the Nile Shiners’ clowns.
