According to an Edmonds School District announcement, forecasters are beginning to predict the possibility of snow in the upcoming weeks. Here’s what you need to know if you have a child attending local public schools:
- If it is necessary to have a late start or close schools due to inclement weather, a decision is made districtwide for all schools.
- Any closures will be made up, changing the scheduled last day of school. Reserve those days – June 23, 24, 27, 28, 29 – just in case.
- Information on weather-related changes to school schedules will be broadcast on local radio and television stations, the District website and at flashalert.net.
- Emergency Weather Notices will also be going home in students’ backpacks with school-specific limited bus route information on the reverse side. They will also be posted on the school district’s transportation website.
