Diamond Knot is changing up its summer lineup after a previous decision to transition the company’s Blonde Ale into a year-round brew. Diamond Knot brewers developed a new ale, called Binnacle Summer Ale, to add to the summer lineup.

“This beer is absolutely a home run,” production manager Brian Guerrant said. “The style started with a brewers challenge and grew from there. It’s definitely outside of what we have created in the past.”

Binnacle Summer Ale is in stores now after launching on Friday, April 1.

Brewers describe the beer as well-balanced, drinkable and “perfect for summer days.”

The label on the 22-ounce bottle of Binnacle Summer Ale includes vintage artwork from Ken Gandee.

The company decided to make their blonde ale a year-round beer sold in cans after growing sales over the past few years.
