The public is invited to comment on two proposed rules aimed at improving the safety of transporting oil through the state.
Comments for both proposed rules will be accepted until June 10.
The first proposed rule would create notice requirements for facilities receiving oil by rail and pipelines transporting crude oil. Affected communities would be notified to ensure rapid response if an oil spill occurred.
